Mstislav Pashchenko
DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY:
Mstislav Pashchenko was a director-producer, screenwriter, and artist-animator. Honored artist of the RSFSR. As a child worked as a projectionist's assistant, drew promotional posters for films, served as a chorister in an opera house, where he also did art decorations. Graduated from an Art school in Petrograd. Worked as an illustrator at the publishing houses «Raduga» and «Molodaya Gvardiya». In 1933-1941 worked as an animator, then - as a director at the Leningrad film factory «Rosfilm» («Lenfilm»). Taught at animator courses with «Lenfilm». Fought in the Great Patriotic War. From 1942 worked for «Soyuzmultfilm». Was part of the faculty of animator courses of the 1940s, was a member of the artistic council.
